WCNS focuses on the individual child. We value the importance of nurturing your child in his or her first school experience.

Learning by Doing
The children at WCNS are active participants in their learning. Teachers offer many experiences to the students including cooking, dramatic play, finger painting, listening, dancing, counting, and sharing. Children are encouraged to make their own choices and are guided in problem-solving techniques. We are dedicated to providing opportunities for children to develop self-esteem and self-confidence through respect for each other and the school's environment.

Teaching Through Experience
The experience level of the teachers at WCNS is unique. Our teachers have been at WCNS for an average of 15 years, and each teacher's own children have attended the school. We take a team approach and offer students two or three lead teachers per classroom. Each teacher brings her own teaching style, strengths, and fun-loving approach to the classroom.
WCNS ensures that every teacher has updated credentials and provides in-house workshops to pursue relevant and pertinent issues. Our enthusiastic teachers offer a warm welcome to each child every day!

A Charming Setting
Our location is distinctly different. We are situated in a beautiful barn in South Natick. The classroom areas are warm, inviting environments filled with natural light and open space. The well-designed, enclosed playground offers unusual equipment such as a real canoe, a fire-truck climbing structure and slide, child-sized monkey bars, tricycles, and a bike path.
There is also the opportunity for the children to experience the local community. Our school draws students from many surrounding towns including Natick, Wellesley, Needham, Dedham, Sherborn, Dover, and Medfield.

Involving Families
WCNS encourages family participation in a variety of ways. Among other things, parents may choose to cook with the children, read a story as a "Royal Reader," or share a family tradition. Each year we celebrate the beginning of school with our Family Party and have other events throughout the year. Seniors and their parents look forward to a "Dad's Breakfast" and a "Mom's Snack" each Spring as well as a graduation ceremony at the end of the year.
Though our name implies that we are a cooperative nursery school, we prefer to position ourselves as a school which allows parents the flexibility to become involved in ways that are comfortable to them. Parent/teacher communication is an integral part of our school's philosophy.
